Cervical cancer is treatable if caught early. An annual pap smear test for women over 35 can help in early detection and in controlling the associated mortality rate. Unfortunately, in India, largely due to lack of awareness, women do not often undergo this vital screening procedure According to WHO estimates, 1.3 lakh women in India are diagnosed with cervical cancer and over 74,000 succumb to it every year. This makes it one of the leading forms of cancer in India and represents approximately a fourth of its total incidence in the world.
We felt that this bleak scenario warranted action. And so we decided to take it. We started our Fight Against Cervical Cancer (popularly referred to as FACC) to turn the tide on this disturbing trend. We leveraged our communications expertise in order to educate women and protect them from this growing threat to their health.
Join us in our Fight Against Cervical Cancer and together let’s make a difference.
