The PRactice worked with a long-time client, a leading provider of wireless technology, to organize a large-scale event involving several partners. The event was designed to demonstrate the robustness of the CDMA (wireless) ecosystem and to spotlight the evolution of 3G technology in the Indian market. In broad terms, the event was to provide a forum for the client to gain visibility while expressing solidarity with other players in the ecosystem.
The PRactice ran a focused campaign that created an optimal level of engagement with the media. A limited number of press releases were issued prior to the event and invitations were sent to a select media group. Given the number of companies involved in the event, the PRactice also worked with other communications firms to coordinate the messaging, releases, and other operational technicalities. This called for a high degree of organization and professionalism. In addition, The PRactice initiated an online campaign (a first for the client) to spread the buzz on the event.
Despite a delayed start, the campaign resulted in very good visibility for the company and cemented its status as a leading player in the 3G space.
